Orchid Side Plate

$15.00
sold out

These dusty pink plates are wheel-thrown in a white stoneware and are approximately 5.5 inches in diameter. Perfect for serving small sides and holding trinkets.

After being trimmed and bisque fired at cone 06 in an electric kiln, the bisqueware is then dipped in two glazes. Mottled Blue Cream, a runny rutile heavy glaze, and Tangerine, which usually fires to a pleasant pale orange. After being reduction fired in a gas kiln at cone 10 we’re left with specked cream that breaks into a pinky-orange gradient over the rim of the plates. These glazes combined remind me of the dedicate coloration of flower petals.

All dishware unless stated otherwise are microwave and dishwasher safe, however hand washing is recommended and can help ensure the longevity of handmade ceramics.
